things i'm loving right now {2}

:: The SIMPLIFY word plaque that I found at my favorite Legacy Town Center shop called Ambrosia {see below}...it's always good to have a visual reminder of my goals in life, and this is certainly one of the big ones. Life does not have to be difficult and drama-filled. I'm striving for a simple life. Simple pleasures, simple joys.

:: Heidi Swapp supplies {see below}...FINALLY found some of these at Recollections when I was there over the weekend. I've been dying to get my hands on some of her stuff, so it took forever for me to decide what I wanted! Finally got some of her tape in pink and green, and some clear acryllic ghost letters. Can't wait to use this stuff!

:: Frenchy / Shabby-Chic stuff like the wire dressform that I also got at Ambrosia {see below}...they don't have a website, but you can find a similar style of stuff at Ballard Designs. Cool website/catalog store.

:: Coordinating ribbon sets {see below}...got a set of these in pink from Recollections.

:: Walking with Kim three times a week...it's a good chance to chat with her and grow our friendship. Plus, an added bonus is that we do it right after work, and all the stress from my workday is gone by the time we're done with our loop.

:: My curly long hair. After years of wearing my brown hair shoulder length and stick straight (thanks to my trusty Chi iron!), I am embracing my wavy, fluffy 'do. Chris doesn't seem to like it as much, but the honest truth is that it is making me feel more grounded in myself. More like "me". And that is important to me right now. I've been using the Garnier Fructis line, and they've got a "curl defining" gel that I'm loving! Never have used an entire line of the same brand before, and can really tell a difference. Hmm...

:: Reading novels...after such a long hiatus, it feels so great to be reading again. I didn't realize that I missed it so much. I've got two books down, and they've both been great. My next one is "River, Cross my Heart" by Breena Clarke. And I have a pile in my closet of 3 more to come after this one! :) Simple joys. Am still saving my Nicholas Sparks book from Dronda for our Tahiti trip...though I am tempted to read it NOW!

:: Seeing Chris' passion for cycling being kickstarted again by Lance Armstrong and the Tour de France. Most of the time, he puts other things before cycling, and it never happens. The Tour reminds him just how much he loves it, and it's good to see him squeeze into those spandex shorts with the padded bottom, and return with a red face!

Great Post!!

I am loving our walks together as well! I look forward to them each week. I really did miss them last week. I was so sad this morning when Gary said he has to work late and I thought I was going to have to cancel our walk. Thank Goodness my brain started functioning to think of asking the baby sitter if the kids could stay there 30 extra minutes! :) I needed the walk and talk with you!

I really do like the wavy hair on you! I am glad that it makes you feel more like yourself!

*laughing* When I was reading your post you talked about your word plaque, Heidi Swapp Stuff, Wire dress form and ribbons and Said "{see below}" but then when it came to the talking about Chris and his bike riding and his spandex shorts you didn't say "see below"!! What's up with that??? *laughing* JUST KIDDING!!! But it did make me giggle. lol

Wavy hair? I don't think I've seen your hair wavy since the seventh grade! Take a picture and post it on here.

I too have gotten back into reading. I bought 3 books yesterday, though still reading the one you sent me. One of the books I bought was one you have listed on your blog site. However, the linked titles link you back to your blog site. Was that your intent?

Anyway, I've enjoyed reading your blog everyday and look forward to the next one.

I'm glad that there are so many things that make you happy.

I liked your hair straight, but I always like it curly! I would get so tickled at you when you'd say you could feeling it growing larger as the day went on. I spend all my time trying to get my hair to not stick to my head and you struggle to tame yours. I guess it's true what they say about the grass being greener on the other side. : )

LOVE the stuff you bought this weekend. All very cute.
