"ring of friends" tag swap

So, here is the idea that Kim and I have come up with. We were inspired by Two Peas in a Bucket, they did something similar to this for their Garden Girl Crop in August.

The end result of this will be a metal ring filled with tags from scrapbook friends. We have introduced this as a swap amongst our local scrapbook group, and everyone seemed very excited to participate! We will be making tags for each other, and swapping one tag for one tag. Through this blog, I am putting it out there as well. If you are willing to make a tag to be a part of my "ring of friends", I would love it!

There are two ways of doing this, and it can be done however you'd like:

1) you make a tag for my ring, and I make a tag for your ring (if you are interested in starting your own ring)

or 2) you make a tag for my ring (if you aren't interested in starting your own ring)

If you aren't interested in participating, or if you're one of my non-scrapbook readers, just skip this next section!! We've created just a few guidelines...but really, the creative door is wide open!

GUIDELINES FOR "RING OF FRIENDS" TAG SWAP

1) Your tag should be 3" x 6" in size.

2) Your tag should be about YOU. Things you like, pet peeves, anything you want to share. Include your photo, if you like. I just want to look at this tag, and know you a little better.

3) Put your NAME on the tag somewhere.

4) At the top of your tag, use a regular-sized hole punch to make the hole for the metal ring.

5) At the bottom of your tag (opposite the hole), use ribbons somehow hanging off the end.

Otherwise, I just want to see your unique styles and learn a little more about you. I would love to include you in my "Ring of Friends"...

If you are interested in participating, please email me at kelleymoenster@hotmail.com. In your email, let me know that you want to participate, and also whether you would like a tag in return (if you do, include your mailing address too!). I will respond, and give you MY mailing address at that time.

Listed here are just a few examples of what the Garden Girls created for theirs:

I hope this is something some of you will be interested in!!! I plan to display this completed "Ring of Friends" ring in my scrapbook room, where I will see it often. The more, the merrier!!!
