garage sale

Whew...lots of work goes into having a garage sale! I had one years ago, and have since forgetten just how much work they are. It will be a long while until I have another one!!

My friend Marie, who was part of the co-garage sale, came over on Friday night from 7-midnight to get everything in order and set up. It was hot in the garage, and lots of work. Saturday morning, got up at 6:00, and Marie was there by 7:00...took some manual labor getting everything pulled out of the garage into the driveway. We had so much junk! People started showing up around 7:45 or so, and we had a steady flow until around 1:00 or so...closed up shop around 3:30. It took awhile for us to get everything bagged up for Goodwill, so I'd say around 5:30 it was officially done.

Had a nice day chatting with Marie between waves of people. We got caught up on a few things. My friend Kim stopped by with her kiddos Kelsey and Brandon, and it was great to see them! Lots of Heart Walk walkers passed the house, and many stopped to take a look at our stuff. A few people from work were in the group and it was fun to see them. Marie even talked her hubby Wayne into running to Subway to get us some lunch...we were so thankful!!!

Didn't do much Saturday evening...I was exhausted from all the heat and hard work of the garage sale, and Chris and Aspen were pooped from a full day in the heat at the soccer complex. Had an uneventful evening...just did some reading.

Am pretty miserable from my lack of allergy medication since Saturday. Can't wait to get the allergy testing done on Monday so we can figure out what I'm allergic to and so that I can get some medicine in my system. Sinus/allergy problems royally suck!!!!!!! I feel like my head is swimming in snot. :(
