:: Got my weekly allergy shot today, thought that everything was the same as usual. Itches some, and feels like there's a little knot in there for about a day. So I didn't really think anything about it until I got home this evening and changed my clothes. What is usually a red swelling about the size of a quarter today is the size of a long leech. I was a little surprised to see this! I'm putting some ice on it, and we'll see where it goes from here. They always ask every week, how it went the week before. So I'll be telling them about this for sure! On a positive note, though, it really seems like these shots of starting to work. After months and months of not being able to breathe at all through my nose, I'm finally breathing like a normal person. It's amazing!!!
:: Tonight was Bunko night...had lots of fun. Love that game! Came in at the middle of the pack, but ended up getting stolen from right at the end so I had my pick of prizes anyway!! It was a good time...
:: And today is my Grandma Flo's birthday!!! I don't think that she reads this blog, but I still would like to take this time to share a few of my favorite things about this amazing woman...she makes the best iced tea in the world...she introduced me to soft boiled eggs with toast, chopped up real small and mixed together...she will play rummy for hours and hours and long into the night, and when you leave the table to go to the restroom, she'll cheat any which way she can!...she plays beautiful music on her organ and even taught me a little bit when I was younger...I always love how she calls my grandpa "Joey"...her arms are so covered in freckles that she almost looks tan...for years she wore these beautiful eyeglass frames that had little roses on the sides...she never cleaned the top of her refridgerator unless my very tall step-dad was coming over, because no one else could see it...whenever I would spend time with them growing up, she would always make sure to have my favorite foods on hand, like yogurt covered pretzels...her garden in the backyard always blooms so beautifully because she gives it such love...she's been through a lot of hardship in the last few years, and still she carries on...
I can't wait to see this little lady when we go home for Thanksgiving in a few weeks!!! Love you Grandma!!

Oh goodness! I would certainly tell the doc next week what the shot looked like yesterday! Glad to hear they are starting to help. We swear by them for Kelsey!
Happy Birthday Grandma Flo! Loved reading about her.
