so it begins...

Aspen's very first "teeny bopper" magazine...oh my! Tiger Beat! I used to read that magazine when I was young! Some things never change, do they?

We're all in big, big trouble now!

This is what I saw when I got home from bunko this evening...Aspen curled up in the big arm chair, wearing her pink stocking cap (?? why??), reading about Jesse McCartney. Chris said, "Look! Her first teen magazine!" and I asked, "Have you taken a picture of this yet??!!"...

He hadn't, so I got the camera out, and Aspen is squealing, "No! That picture will end up on your blog!!!!!!!!!" Meaning full well that, yes, she would LOVE for me to put this picture on my blog!

She's nine...not even in the double digits yet! She's already talking about putting a poster of Jesse on the wall. And boy, does that take me back to my own childhood.

I was infatuated (INFATUATED) with the New Kids on the Block. Jordan Knight was just the hottest thing on earth to me. After two concerts and years of loving them, my bedroom walls were 100% covered with posters, pictures, stickers, you name it. My step-dad Pat had even found me the coolest, HUGE plastic store display, and I loved that thing! NO one else had one of those, only me!

And so it begins with Aspen...

OHH how fun!! Isn't it strange that the same books we liked as children are still gowing strong! :) I am sure Miss Aspens room will be covered with posters of Jesse soon! Enjoy. :)

Oh my! I remember those teen mags and the posters all over. YIKES!! Thanks for reminding me what I have to look forward to!

Sorry you've been feeling humbug as well. I seem to have been on an emotional rollercoaster lately. Fantastic one day, blah the next. But I'm really looking forward to Christmas because of Ashleigh. I can't imagine how excited I'll be when she actually knows what's going on!

glad the girls made it to the quarter-finals, that's something to be proud of.

Sorry I've been MIA from the "blog world" I'm trying to make a re-entry!

Oh, my. I remember those days. I couldn't get enough of Tommy Page. :) And those pull-out posters. Worth my money always. ;)
