gift cards

Gift cards are fun, aren't they? A cute little piece of plastic that symbolizes {{shopping!!!}}...what is better than that?

This year for Christmas, I received three gift cards in my stocking from Chris...the first one was for Dillards. I knew exactly what I was going to get there right away...the Kenneth Cole organizer to match my Kenneth Cole purse. Decided on the pink, since all the black ones were scuffed. Love it! And even better...the $25 organizer was on sale for 50% off! So I still have money on my gift card! :) Note: I added the ribbon as a place holder for the calendar...

Next was a Target gift card. Easily spent, of course! I decided on this bright pink metal bucket for my scrapbook room. It looks so cute holding some of my magazines...much better than the basket! This practically jumped off the shelf at me!

And then there was the Books-A-Million gift card. This one was more difficult, as I found a ton of books I would like to read. Finally, after milling around for way too long, I decided on this one. Anyone read it??

And, okay...that's all the gift cards, but I had to get these two adorable spools of ribbon too! If I was actually scrapping, I might be able to use them! :)

Fun stuff, yes? Just had to share...

In unrelated news...my mother called me this evening to announce that she and Randy have set the date for their wedding!!! May 25, 2006...(which is also my dear PTS Dronda's birthday!!!)...the plan is to meet at
Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, Missouri...it would be a very small gathering, a few days at the lodge, location of actual wedding still unknown. But very exciting that they've got a date! (I'm pretty sure it's Big Cedar Lodge...correct me if I'm wrong, Mom!)...

I have read that book. It is good, so funny. Her best, IMO.

:( I didn't get any gift cards, so no shopping for me. I did just read "In Her Shoes" great read, finished in just a couple of days. I cried at the end and now I want to see the movie. I really like Jennifer Weiner and plan on reading "Little Earthquakes" next.
