So, although this may look like a strip from the Brady Bunch with those lovely blue backrounds, the above five are my early favorites on this season's American Idol...now, granted, there are some people in the Top 24 that I just don't recognize at all, so things may be changing. :)
There seems to be a lot of unique talent this year. I think it's going to be a great season, and I'm looking forward to seeing if one of my early predictions ends up winning!

Edited to add :: a post-show review...okay, tonight's show was just okay. You can tell they are all pretty nervous, and their entertaining skills aren't quite practiced yet. Now, my girl Paris...she was awesome...you can totally tell she was born into a musical family, and that she's just a natural. I think that she was great tonight. The other girl I had picked, Becky, well...I think she sure LOOKS like an American Idol. She's gorgeous. Her song tonight just didn't do much for me. So I guess we'll see. I'm excited to see the guys perform Wednesday...we'll see if I still like my 3 picks for them! :) For now...go Paris!!!

We didn't watch last night, but DID record it! So hopefully this evenign we will get caught up. From what I remember so far about the show I am thinking your picks are pretty good!

I agree with 3 of your picks - Becky and Taylor? Ugh. I think they both stink. But neither are worse than Copacabana Boy. BTW, apparently Becky's already on to her next big move - apparently there's a pic of her on Maxim's website.
