knitting lesson

A big thank you to my friend, Terry...she's so talented, and more importantly, PATIENT! She's an awesome teacher, and agreed to show me and two other friends how to knit. What a challenge!! Below are a few pictures from the learning experience!

Here I am with my "huh" expression! Who knew knitting would be so confusing at first??? :)

Terry being so patient...me being a little clueless at first!

Here I am with my first few rows!

Hard at work...I really had to concentrate! Talking wasn't possible...I got all messed up then!

A closeup of my busy work!

Moving right along!

Now it's just practice practice practice...I've started a scarf with some yarn I had on hand at home, so we'll see how it turns out. I have a habit of "pearling" which throws things all off. Luckily, with the yarn I'm using, it isn't really noticable!!! I will post my creation when I get it done!!!

How cool. I actually learned to knit when I was young, but never kept it up (probably lasted a month at the most). I would love to learn again.
Cute pictures :)
