Sometimes, it feels sooooo good to be out of the loop. So good.

I had NO IDEA that the 2007 Hall of Famers had been announced. Congrats to them all! I am excited for Kristina Contes, I think her work is awesome. She was the only name I knew, but I'm sure the rest of the girls were deserving too...

I didn't enter this year. I saw the announcement for the contest in the magazine, and I just flipped right by the page. Didn't even read the rules. After entering two years in a row, it was refreshing to not enter. I wasn't scouring the discussion boards seeing if anyone had gotten the call. I wasn't waiting on pins and needles. I wasn't a nervous wreck. Nice.

Chris will say it's because I don't have any DRIVE. Which, honestly, I don't. I want to lead a stress-free life, and am content with where I am and what I do. I am content with me.

And, I really gave this a lot of thought after two years of not winning. And I realized a few things. I DON'T want to teach. I DON'T want to have a book come out. I DON'T want to develop product lines. I just want to scrapbook. I want to take awesome pictures and capture the stories of my family. I want to enjoy doing it. And I want it to be for ME, I don't want it to be for the sake of winning a contest.

So, congrats to all the winners...their lives will change because of this contest. And congrats to ME...for being true to myself...
