Happy Mother's Day to my very special mother!! I wish so much that we could spend the day together, I hate being so far away from her! She is always with me in my heart though, and I am so grateful that she is in my life. She is not only a mother, but a friend. She is my #1 supporter. She shows me unconditional love. I am a lucky girl...
Love you mom!!!
We had a nice weekend, here...did some shopping around, ate out, had an open house on Saturday. We've accepted a contract on our house and now we just wait and see what happens with it. I refuse to get excited until something is "for sure". IF this works out, we will be closing on June 19th. The couple is moving here from Colorado. An inspector should be coming to the house sometime this week. Fingers crossed, everyone.
Here's a look at our finished stone fireplace in the new house...

We love it! At one of the antique shops we hit over the weekend, we bought a cathedral window to try out on the mantle. Not sure if it's too big or if it will look good, but we'll see. We're heading out to the house in a little bit to test it out. Also bought another old shabby window that I plan to hang in the scrapbook room, probably. I have some plans for it, and we'll see how it turns out. Pictures to come...
Have spent some time working on the wedding stuff too...making a "to do" list...there's more to do than I thought! So I need to get cracking on more of that. Good news...my wedding shoes arrived, and they are sooooo nice. I love them. The heel is a little higher than I'm used to (probably 4"), so I have to wear them around the house to get used to them!

Congrats on the contract. Will do the big YIPPIE when you give the all clear!
WOOO HOOOOO!!!!! I will indeed keep my fingers crossed and say a prayer that the Contract on the house goes as it should!! That is fantastic news!!!!!!
I'm glad to hear that the shoes you ordered are nice. Yes, get some walking done around the house in them to get use to them before the big day!
LOVE the fire place pictures! :) Very pretty. I can't wait to see how you use those windows!
