Feeling a bit crazy with this overwhelming feeling! We're set to close on both houses on June 19th, a Tuesday. Spoke with the builder's wife today, and she confirmed that we can actually move our stuff AND ourselves into the house that weekend before, on the 16th.
That is about one week and 3 days.
And yet the "to-do" list for them to get the house finished in quite long still. Can they get it all done in one week and three days? Well, really less than that, as they have to have it inspected before we move in too. Can they do it all, when the past few days they have worked on hardly anything?
Today they installed the glass shower door on our tile shower. That's about it.
And the "to-do" list consists of:
::Paint the outside trim & garage door
:: Pour the driveway and front walk
:: Lay the pipes for the sprinkler system
:: Fix a row of stone above the front door
:: Install the front door
:: Finish the tile
:: Lay the carpet
:: Finish installing the granite countertops
:: Do the kitchen back splash
:: Finish the kitchen lighting: light box, bar lights, kitchen nook
:: Install the kitchen appliances
:: Install the toilets
:: Finish installing all the faucets
:: Raise three fans
:: Install the entry chandelier
:: Put the doors back on throughout the house
:: Finish the moulding & base boards
:: Install the bathroom hardware
:: Hang closet bars
:: SUPER CLEAN
:: Fix all the things they've messed up along the way
And, I'm sure there are even things I'm not thinking of.
Do not stress...do not stress...do not stress. It will get done! We're only moving once, everything is working out just the way it should.
One week and three days. Just get us there, and get it done...

If they actually work, I think they can get it done. It seems like a lot, but they know what they're doing!
