So far this week...St. Louis is treating us well…I’m thoroughly enjoying our trip so far and Chris is actually feeling RELAXED. Those of you who actually know him know how big of an accomplishment that is! We have attributed it to the screened in porch on Mom and Randy’s house. Sitting out there, listening to the birds chirp and the bugs buzz, but free from the dirt and the bugs and all. Just a nice crisp breeze blowing through.
We’ve done lots of eating so far. Mom’s home cooking, The Elephant Bar, Olgas. On tap for the rest of the week we’ve got White Castle (ewwwww), Lewis & Clark, thin crust pizza…I’m going to gain 10 pounds in one week.
Today, Mom took off work and the three of us went to Shaw’s Garden (The Missouri Botanical Park). So much beauty there, took over 200 photos. (No surprise there, I’m sure!) Then we dropped Chris off to do a 20 mile run in Forrest Park, while Mom and I went to do some shopping. A very nice day, indeed.
Yesterday evening, we met my friend Amy for dinner…it was so nice to catch up with her. She always makes me laugh, and there are so many good memories there.
One downfall so far…we haven’t been able to get on the internet from my mom’s house. So I’m feeling a bit detached from the world. I miss my emails and my blog!! Rest assured though, I have lots of photos to post whenever I’m able!!
I finished my book today…White Oleander. Definitely an interesting one, but not sure I was too fond of the characters. She had such a hard life, and I guess me, being so sheltered and naïve, that really just brought me down. Now I’m having fun reading through all of Mom’s many magazines…
Chris is over at the ball fields, watching some games. It’s right behind Mom’s house, and it’s such a happy sound to hear the crack of the bats and the cheering. It drew him over…
Wednesday...shopping, including 2 different scrapbook stores. Got some goodies, and my prize for next month's bunko. Had DELICIOUS thin crust pizza for dinner...bought a new book...
Tomorrow...we are meeting the Repps for dinner, that will be good. Can't wait to spend a little time with them!!!
Hope life is good for you all!!!!

Yeah!! Loved reading your post. It sounds like the trip has been a wonderful one! Be sure and tell Mom I said Hello and give her a hug for me! I've missed having you at home, but I know the time with your family is a much needed time!
I'm so glad you're having such a great time. It sounds absolutely wonderful! You enjoy every last second of it and don't worry if you gain 10 lbs...you'll lose it. You've got to live a little, right?
Hey, my word verification is "hghug" so blogger even knows I'd like to give you a big hug!!!
Kenneth mentioned wanting to go on some 4 wheeler adventure next year and asked if I minded and I told him no, as long as I got to go to Abilene. And I am sticking to it! If I can't go, he can't go...I'll keep you posted...
