our weekend - wrap up

Halloween 07 is upon us...Saturday evening was the Fall Fest, where the kids dress up in their costumes and play games, go to booths, hang out with their friends. Aspen's mom dropped her costume off at the house the day of Fall Fest, and it consisted of a Marilyn Monroe white dress, some pearls, some fake eyelashes, and some clip on earrings. Hmm...ok. I asked Aspen what she was planning on doing with her hair, since Marilyn was a bleach blonde. She said the costume was 40% off because the wig was missing. Lovely.

I told her that without a blonde wig, she would just look like some girl in a white dress. So, I ran to Walgreens at the last minute and bought the only blonde wig they had...the princess wig. Mimi gave it a haircut, and when it was shorter, it looked fairly Marilyn-ish. Good enough anyway!! Aspen had a good time, and will get back into costume on Wednesday, I'm sure, to do some trick or treating.

Saturday was also our last soccer game of the season...the BIG game that determined who the #1 team was for the season, and who would be moving on to the Tournament of Champions. We played our rival, and ended up pulling out a win of 1-0...so we head to Dallas in December to play in the tournament!!! Very exciting, and Chris talked about it all day...very proud of his girls, and excited about the win.

I was able to do some scrapbooking this weekend too...finished 3 pages Friday night, and did a 2-page spread Saturday night. Yay!! I'll try to post them this week...

Grocery shopped, laundry, and cleaning today...

Pampered Chef party tomorrow night at Kim's house. I'm looking forward to that. Beyond that, it should be a pretty normal week
.

Great save on the wig!! It looks very nice. Brandon and I actually ran into Aspen at the fall fest. Didn't realize who it was at first though! (I didn't see her face) she ran up and gave Brandon a hug and I was wondering who was hugging on him. Then she turned around to see if any of the rest of the family was round and I realized who it was.

Way to go on the soccer!! That is great that you get to move on to the tournament in Dallas!

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. And WOO HOO on getting to scrap some! Great job.

Looking forward to seeing you at the PC show tonight!
