high school

I am 14 years out of high school. Doesn't that sound crazy? And doesn't that make me sound old? Whew.

It's interesting, remembering high school. What's even more interesting is thinking about the people I went to school with, and trying to figure out what kind of person they turned out to be. Where are they? Are they married? Do they have kids? Are they the same as I remember them or have they totally recreated themselves? Do they look the same? Better, worse?

After spending four years of my life with them, and then losing touch with most of them -- it's interesting to stumble across one of them on facebook.com.

Have you been on that site? It's really just a networking website...when you sign up, you list where you went to high school and college, etc. It then shows you possible people you may know, and you can send a request to that person to become "friends" on the site.

So far, I've stumbled upon probably 5 or 6 people from my high school...and have flipped through the photos they have posted. It intrigues me to see their lives now, when they are in their thirties. Some of them have done things I never would have imagined them doing. Some have done exactly what I expected. Some are more beautiful than ever. Some look completely different.

Life is funny, isn't it? High school is only 4 short years out of your life...but they are such important years. Formative years.

What would these people think of ME today?

I love facebook...I have enjoyed finding old friends on there and being able to get back in touch with lost friends...keep in better touch with current friends and even have people I have almost forgotten find me again...I have a ton of friends on there from high school actually...way more than college it seems...funny to me how that happened. :)
