:: Today was a “lunch with Kim” day, and I always enjoy those. We headed to Zookinis and enjoyed the salad bar and good conversation.
:: Today was also the day for my stitches to be removed. Since these were my first ever stitches, I wasn’t sure what to expect. They called me back and led me to a different side of the building. The room they put me in was more like a facial room…soft music playing, vanilla candles burning, leopard print towel on the lounge chair. I began to wonder if they had me signed up for the wrong procedure! But, the woman proceeded to snip the stitches out, and that took no time at all. Barely felt it. Then she rubbed some sticky stuff on it that would prevent it from popping open, and added two little cloth stitches. She says they will fall off on their own, and then I should be good to go. Won’t need to wear any bandaids any longer, and can continue putting Neosporin on to reduce the possibility of a scar. She seemed very impressed with how clean and tidy the whole thing was…I must agree! I might end up having a tiny scar, but I don’t think it will be too noticeable at all.
:: Gloomy and gray and chilly today, and now it’s pouring down rain. Blah.
:: Due to the weather, I wasn’t able to ride my bike or walk this evening. So I went out to the garage and hopped on my old trusty Eliptical machine. Whew. That was the hardest, best workout I’ve had in a long time. I need to get on that thing more often. Now that winter is coming, I foresee that I will be spending more time with it.
:: I am very excited, because we have finally been able to solidify our yearly trip to St. Louis! We have approval from both of our bosses, and now it’s time to start the planning! Yay! We will be headed up north for the week of Thanksgiving. It feels so good to have it decided. I’m looking very forward to seeing family and friends and let’s not forget the lovely week away from the office!!
:: We’re still having internet trouble at home. I couldn’t connect tonight, so I had to type this up, save it, and tote it to work, for upload first thing. Chris called the provider today, and they are sending us a new modem to see if that will help. We’ve had decent service with them until recently…now, we sometimes can’t even connect, and we can certainly not upload photos or attach things to emails, etc. Not sure what the deal is. Hopefully the new modem will solve the issues, otherwise Chris will be cancelling the service!!
:: We are getting to enjoy Casual Days on Tuesday and Wednesday this week because a lot of people are out of the office. Yay! Especially since it’s rainy. Hopefully we’ll get Friday too!!
