tuesday thoughts

:: Had to go back in to the dermatologist today...the pathology didn't show convincing evidence that he removed the entire spot. Upon looking under his special little blue light, he wasn't able to see anything...though it could still be under the surface. I basically have three options. I can do the "wait and see" and keep a close eye on it, in case it grows back. I can go in for a more in-depth surgery, which would entail removing a piece of my face and looking at it immediately under a microscope to see if they removed it all. If not, then cutting another piece and looking at it, etc. Until they feel they got it all. Third option is the same as the second, only done by a plastic surgeon. These are not cancerous cells, so my inclination is to "wait and see". If it does happen to grow back, perhaps then I can get the procedure done. It seems a bit premature to do it now.

:: Enjoyed a delicious apple pear today. Yum! The thing is, they are so huge! Definitely more than one portion, I can only eat about half. So I shared with my coworker, and she was quite happy!

:: I am almost done with "Twilight", by Stephenie Meyer...my oh my. What a riviting book! I have been enthralled from the first chapter. I am so very glad that there are three more books in the series! I'll be getting the second one, "New Moon" as soon as I can. This weekend, if not before! :) Yes, it's about vampires, but it's not too scary or bloody. It's really a love story, a vampire and a human falling in love and all the difficulties that brings with it. So intense. It will be coming out as a movie in November and I am looking forward to seeing it!

:: Aspen starts basketball practices this Wednesday. They'll practice for about a week, and I suppose then the coaches will announce who is on the A Team, the B Team, etc. Practice is after school until 5:30, and then she goes directly to track practice with Coach Art at 6:00. Now that cross country is over, her life is certainly not slowing down any...

:: Thursday, I only have to work until noon...yay! And then Chris and I are heading to Dallas for
this...can not wait! Little Big Town is opening for her, and I do really like them too. We are in section 206, row FF...pretty darn good seats!! Looking forward to the night out with my hubs...and then 3 hours back to Abilene afterwards and work the next morning. THAT part won't be fun, no siree!

:: Well, I have stalled long enough...it's time to get a workout going. And then...more reading :)
