:: Today, I am spent. I don't know why...I'm just wiped out. Fried. I hope I'm not getting sick, but I don't feel bad. Hopefully it's just the time change and stress...I feel like I could go to sleep now and sleep for days...
:: Hosted bunko tonight...there were 8 of us, and we had a romping good time with the dice. I ended up getting stolen from right at the end by the big winner...which means that I was able to have my pick at the end. I went with the unknown, and was pleased with my prize. Some cute Christmas goodies, tags/papers/rub ons...definitely can use those.
:: A new president...I must say, I am proud of America's choice. I don't know what it is about Obama, I can't really put my finger on it. But I feel inspired when I listen to him. I hope that he is able to do some great things for our country. Of course, I encountered some people today who were sore about McCain losing, and worried about the state of our country. Some people were downright upset and quite vocal about it. Last night. Aspen was even getting forwarded texts from girls her age, saying things like, "If Obama wins, wear black to school tomorrow to mourn for our country." Ridiculous stuff, and these 12 year olds really have no idea...so you know it's coming from their parents. The beauty of democracy...and when it's such a large margin like that, the people are really saying something...time for a change...
:: Aspen received some great news today...she's been working out with the basketball girls, and the coaches had yet to determine who was on what team (A, B, C, etc). Friday she found out that she was on either the A or B team, and would be practicing after school. Today, they went ahead and broke them down into specific teams...and Aspen found out that she was on the A TEAM! Very exciting...there will be lots of bball games in our near future...the home games are played at 5:00, so we'll be taking some early days at work for those...congrats to Aspen!!
:: Now it's time to take my black high heels in for a new sole. The main part is fine, but the little rubber nub on the actual heel point fell off today. I'm walking around on the metal nail head! These shoes weren't cheap, and are still in perfect condition otherwise...so this will be my first experience with shoe repair. From what I can tell, there's only one place in town that does it. In the past, all my shoes have been cheap, so I'd just throw them away and get a new pair...guess we'll try this out!
:: This weekend, I am planning to get my college diploma framed nicely at Michaels. It's been locked away in my hope chest all these years (gasp, ten!!!) and now that I have more room in my new work station, I think it will look quite nice on the wall. Might as well be proud of my education and all that money spent on it!
:: Well, I need to do something productive before I fall asleep...have a happy Thursday!

I am so upset that i missed Bunko last night!! Our meeting finished about 8:00 and I REALLY considered coming over to crash the end of the party! Sounds like you got a nice prize... going for the unknown?? Who! Impressive. :)
Hope you're not getting sick! I'm postive the time change has a huge part to do with the feeling your having!
