Today, I have been in a major "get it done" mode. Not sure why. But I dig it.
Lots of times, I get lazy. I have things on my to-do list (personal, not work) that I just skip over and push, often to the next week. Just because I can. Just because I have no incentive or need to really get it done. Push it push it push it.
This evening, I worked until 5:30. Ran to Office Depot to get ink for the printer at home (have needed this for weeks). Then stopped at Walgreens for a few items, and was home at 6:00. From there, I proceeded to get some other things taken care of. I ordered some checks online. I activated my replacement credit card. I prepared some items for faxing for my FSA medical card. I cleaned up the scrapbook room/office by putting away the card table and getting things put back on the shelf. I replaced the ink in the printer. I cleaned up my closet. I did a load of towels.
Holy moly, I feel productive!!!! Whew!
So far this week, I have also taken care of our little cross country school photo problem. Somehow, we paid for photos and never received them. Back and forth, back and forth with the photographer, and we're not really sure what happened. Aspen is in the team photo, but they swear she didn't have an individual shot taken. Anything is possible, especially with a 12 year old. At any rate, they have kindly agreed to take/retake her individual shot in their studio. I wouldn't even be bothering, except that it was her first Cross Country season and she was the District Champion...no small feat, and definitely needs a photo. I will be taking her Wednesday at 5:30 for the photo...and then this will hopefully be a done deal. This is a huge deal for me, because I loathe talking to people on the phone about stuff like this...so I am very apt to continue putting it off. Go me!
Next up on the list to tackle...TAXES!
Hopefully this trend continues with me, because there is so much to accomplish. There are little things around the house that need attention. Light bulbs replaced. The tile still needs to be fixed from when the granite countertop fell. The front door knob will not let you open it from the outside. One of our globes on our bathroom light needs replacing because it blew to pieces one day for no reason. We need landscaping big time. I want to buy some patio furniture.
Oh the list goes on...

GOO Kelley! I'm proud of you. Now get those taxes done! You will feel great once they ar off the list.
I love those productive spurts! What I hate is when they strike when I'm not at home! (Like you, I never put things off at work, just at home.) Hope your streak continues!
