:: We had our Employee luncheon at work Friday...they announced the next Incentive Trip location...Playa, Mexico...we'll see if I can win this one! :) I also received an "award" at the luncheon. Each year, every employee receives $100 to give away as they see fit. It is called a Performance Plus award, and it is given for going above and beyond. The employee can give $100 to one person, or split it up and give two people $50 each. My co-worker gave me her whole $100 for volunteering to design her Alzheimer's Association invitation. Woo hooo! Of course, when we went shopping over the weekend, I found absolutely nothing to buy!
:: We were supposed to leave work early on Friday to attend a track meet. However, the weather got down into the 30s, and the meet was cancelled. Only one meet remains, and that is the District meet this coming Saturday...

:: Aspen had two friends spend the night on Friday, and while they were playing the Wii, they heard some people outside our house. They were attempting to "roll" our yard, which is pretty laughable considering we have no trees, no landscaping, only some weeds in the non-existant flower beds. :) They rolled the pole of the street sign, rolled Mimi's car, and threw some in the weeds. Well, the girls were pretty sure who it was, and after getting all "thugged" up, they headed out to retaliate. Oh to be a tween again...
:: Saturday morning, we all got up very early and Chris ran in a race. He and his training buddy Rolando teamed up to do a 1/2 Marathon relay. Chris ran the first leg which was about 7 miles. Rolando ran the second leg, which was about 6 miles. The kicker, though, was that it was up a very very steep hill...which Chris had to run. They guys did great, and came in first for the entire race! Very exciting!!! I was able to get right behind Chris in our car, and follow him the entire way. He had a good 10 minute lead over the rest of the pack, so it was just us and the open road. When he got to the bottom of the "Beast" (the killer hill), I took off and drove to the top where he was "handing off" with Rolando. He killed the hill and arrived at the top way before I thought he would!! I was so proud of him! Below are some photos from the race...

Chris at the start of the race, leading everyone out...it was in the 30s and very very windy...

This is Chris as he topped the Beast...look how strong he looks! That was no easy feat, and he just amazes me...

Chris as he came in for the "hand off"...

Rolando took off at a very fast clip...the first part of his leg was to run down the Beast...running down is just as hard as running up, for different reasons...

Rolando topping one of his hills...I like this photo and how you see that long road out behind him...
The boys got some nice medals, and bragging rights :) Next up...this coming weekend, we are heading to Dallas for the boys to run in the Big D Half Marathon...
:: Seems like a busy week ahead. I have a dentist appointment...taking our tax stuff in during my lunch hour...bunko...an all-day sales meeting in Odessa on Thursday...District meet...Big D Half...lots going on. Wednesday, April 1st, is also my SEVEN year anniversary with FDLIC, the company that I work for. Seven years. Wow.
:: Wednesday is also the birthday of all three of our doggies...Foster and Little Man will both be 10, and Ocho will be 3. Holy moly...
Have a great week all!!
