sunday wrap up

:: Saturday was my monthly scrapbook crop, and I really enjoyed my day. There were six of us, and I had a fairly productive day: 14 layouts completed. I am ahead of my goal so far, thanks to the retreat in February. I can't really say that I was "feeling it" on Saturday...nothing was really coming together, I didn't really love anything that I did. But, it's 14 pages completed, and they aren't horrible by any means. Just a bit blah...could be the gray rainy weather's influence? At any rate, I now have 82 layouts done of my 240...about 22 layouts ahead of schedule...

:: This weekend I purchased this book and this magazine and this magazine...I like to always have enough on hand to keep my brain occupied. The book is the sequel to Chocolat, which I really enjoyed. I read it quite awhile ago, so a lot of the details are gone.

:: I've been doing very well with saving money. I've truly cut back on my shopping in a big way and have even been able to catch up from Christmas. At the end of last month, I was even able to contribute to our emergency fund savings, and that was exciting! At the end of each month, I plan on doing the same. Since I've been doing so well, I decided to hit Express to use up the rest of my gift card and to use my "$30 off with purchase of $75" coupon. I really loved this shirt...I got it in the turquoise blue, but really wanted that gorgeous kelly green. Didn't have it in my size. I also bought this very soft, lightweight sweater in light gray...

:: I also looked for some black, pointy-toed heels for work, but didn't find any that I liked. I did find these however, and may go back to get them next month with my small spending budget. With spring and summer right around the corner, I would probably get more use out of these anyway. I also liked these...will need to try them both on.

:: Not too much on tap for the upcoming week...there is a track meet here in town on Saturday, I'm sure that will be an all-day event...think good thoughts for Ms. Aspen! Beyond that, work is going to be absolutely insane...I should be receiving copy for my annual report, which means it's go-time on creativity! Wish me luck...
