:: Our Dig Gig at work was really a fun evening...we had it at a ranch, and everything was set up in a big barn. The BBQ was catered and there was music and conversation while we ate. The majority of the evening was filled with our Dig Talent Show, which was a hoot. There were a handful of serious acts, and a handful of funny skits. My co-worker Victor wound up winning and taking home the $250 grand prize...woo hoo! He did an amazing mexican dance, in full costume.
:: Friday evening, I purchased my Keith Urban cd, and am getting acquainted with it...so far, really enjoying it. Thanks again to the Repps!
:: Saturday, we enjoyed a nice lunch with friends...they invited us to their house for grilled burgers and they were delicious. We had a great time catching up with them, haven't seen them in awhile. Then, Aspen and I headed to the movies to see the new Harry Potter flick. We both enjoyed it, very good!!
:: Aspen is done reading the Harry Potter series now...she loved it!! She has started on the Twilight book, and so far says that it's boring. I told her that it needed a litle "set up", but to give it time.
:: We rented "Yes Man" with Jim Carey last night...I can not tell you the last time we rented a movie. We enjoyed it, pretty funny...
:: Chris asked me to set up a "Clean Eating" plan for him, which I worked on today. We'll see how that goes. And today is my one year anniversary of Clean Eating...I have spent some time today revamping and rejuvenating...looking forward to starting afresh with renewed vigor. I am at a point where I'm ready to go 95% - 100%...
:: The week ahead has a lot going on...July has been fairly slow up to this point, but now begins the hectic busy time. We've got a yard company coming out Monday to clear out our flower beds. We've got Aspen's birthday on Wednesday. Thursday we are off work and we are going to and from San Antonio for Aspen to run a 2 mile race in the Summer Games. Saturday & Sunday is my scrapbook retreat and I'm looking forward to getting tons accomplished. And Sunday Chris will be taking Aspen to Dallas for her week of running camp. Whew!!
