my thoughts

:: A little bummed that Lance Armstrong is not winning the Tour de France. I know, I know, he's getting old for the sport, he hasn't ridden the tour in a few years...blah blah. I love Lance. I wish he had been able to find the super power deep down within him this time around.

:: I'm also bummed about the results of SYTYCD. Hmpf. America, you are retarded. Jason was my favorite boy dancer, and they sent him home. Blah! Jeanette wasn't my favorite, but I don't think it was her time to go. And as for Katie Holmes' performance. Hmpf. It might not have been too bad, but I loathe lip syncing. Why even bother with the performance at all????

:: But I have to discuss one of the performances on Wednesday's show. It brought me to tears, and that is a rare thing for me. Did you watch? Did you see the dance that Tyce created for Melissa and Ade around the breast cancer theme?? Watch it here, it was
too beautiful for words. Not only the choreography and the story they told, but the way that they danced it was perfection. Melissa especially. The leap she does at 1:40 took my breath away. Total trust, total abandon. So amazing. If this one doesn't win an Emmy nomination, I'll be shocked.

:: Another good Clean Eating day, for me and Chris! He's doing great, and do you know what he told me?? He said he chose to do this so that he could "strengthen his bond with his wife." Awwww. A truth or a quest for some brownie points? Either way, I'll take it. It's been so nice to see him throughout the day on our morning and afternoon breaks! Even though we work in the same building, it's rare that we see each other. Very nice! I am convinced that the treats are ruining any progress I might be making. I was starting to feel pretty good after 100% Clean Monday/Tuesday, but the Red Lobster and birthday cake yesterday has me back to feeling puffy and thick. I'm even more convinced to stick with this 100%.

:: I made a yummy dinner for us this evening...baked tilapia, a nice salad, and huge portabello mushrooms stuffed with crab, breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese. Very tasty!

:: I bought my snacks this evening for our retreat...all pretty Clean. Watermelon, blue corn chips and salsa, and a HUGE bag of popcorn. Yum.

:: My book, The Forgotten Garden, is finally picking up a bit. I'm about halfway through. It's a very slow read, but extremely well written. Now things are starting to entertwine and get a little deeper, so it's becoming a bit more interesting...

Ready for Friday to fly by and for the weekend retreat to arrive!! Yippie!
