:: Friday morning, I took Ocho to a new vet to get a second opinion on what is happening with him. He confirmed that he would have followed most of what our original vet had done. He took more xrays and though there was a suspicious area between two vertebrea, it wasn't enough for him to decide anything. He changed his medicines up a little and wants to keep him drugged consistently for one more week. The goal is to keep Ocho relaxed so that he can sleep and let his body heal. If there is still no improvement by Friday, we will probably have to go to Fort Worth to see a specialist...
:: Also Friday, I left work around 2:30 to drive an hour and a half each way to Brownwood for a track meet...Aspen was only in one race, the mile and a half. Let's just say she ran two of the six laps and dropped out of the race because her "ankle was hurting." She has not been training very hard and isn't where she was last year...it is our opinion that she doesn't want to lose to the girls she won against last year, so she is claiming ankle pains. The fact that she never walks around limping, doesn't ever ice the ankle, etc. makes it a little difficult to believe. I had a lovely three hour drive by myself and can't say I was very pleased with the day.
:: Later that evening, Chris and I enjoyed a nice dinner at El Chico, then rented a few movies...we watched on that evening: The Informant with Matt Damon. Blah blah blah. We both fell asleep. It was long and boring, and though it could've been a decent story, it was just blah.

:: Saturday, Chris and I did some errands and shopping around town, and then met up with Kim and Gary for a date night!!! We had such a nice time with them. We started with dinner at Copper Creek and then headed to a movie. We really enjoyed our evening, though I must say the movie was not my cup of tea...

Bad cop, drunk cop, prostitutes, gangs, drugs, sex, and lots of the "F" word...my estimate would be 435 times. It's really difficult, for me anyway, to watch a movie where none of the characters are likeable. Who are you supposed to root for??? On the way home, I told Chris that I was so grateful for the lifestyle that we lead and that our life doesn't contain any of the crap in that movie!
:: Today, after church, we stayed for lunch and a "class" about becoming a member at the church. We've been attending now for ten months or so and have decided that it is where we would like to continue growing in our relationship with God. After that, we did the grocery shopping and now it's on to normal Sunday stuff...
Hope you all have a super week ahead!!!

I certainly enjoyed out night together Saturday as well! Gary and I neither one cared for the movie either! There is no reason for them to use the F word so many times in a movie! And I'm with you, I like someone to root for in a movie. Gary said he thought this was his type of movie.. but after watching it, it clearly wasn't. He was disappointed as well. Sorry about that! Next time The girls Pick! :)
I'm keeping Ocho in my thoughts and prayers! He's got to start getting better soon! I've thought about him several times over the weekend hoping things are getting better.
