Aspen 13, Chris 35
Happy Father's Day to my hubby, Chris!! He is a wonderful father to Aspen, and deserved a celebration! After church today, we went for lunch at The Cotton Patch and then got him a free ice cream at Coldstone. He was a happy boy! Aspen got him some yummy smelling cologne from Express called Honor...a good day overall!
Saturday was my montly scrapbook crop...we had a pretty large turnout this month, even though we were missing three of our girls. I had a very productive day and finished 21 pages. Not too shabby!!! I think we are changing the dates of our two-day retreat for July, which means that I will be able to attend. I am excited about that!!! If that is the case, I need to start preplanning for that...because I will need a LOT of pages to work on!

Chris and I also bought a big rug for our living room. With Little Man losing so much control, we wanted to wait to get a rug for the new hardwood floor. We decided on a big shag in a cream/tan color. It really adds another layer to the room, helps cut down on the hollow sound, and makes it much more cozy. We are really happy with it!

Chris and I attempted this evening to sit down together and hash out all of the upcoming things/events/trips that are causing us to feel a tad overwhelmed. I can't say I'm feeling any less overwhelmed at the moment, because he even added a few things to my list and most of it is still just up in the air. That doesn't sit well with me!!! Here's a brief rundown:
Chris' 36th birthday...Aspen's 14th birthday...Chris' two-week trip to Uganda and all that needs to be done before he leaves...a trip to Fredricksburg for me and Chris before he leaves for Uganda...a day trip to Dallas for an oil change/recall on the Lexus...getting Aspen to/from Dallas for running camp partly while Chris is in Uganda...is Aspen going with Karly for July...able to attend a wedding?...attending bunko or the Dig Gig?...I'm sure there is more!
I don't like uncertainly and lack of a definite plan...big sigh. I can hear my mom whispering, go with the flow...
On a high note, I painted my toes and fingers in a gorgeous "chocolate truffle" nail polish...my mom inspired me! She mentioned painting hers a nice chocolate brown and it just sounded so pretty. I had to be a copy cat. I really am digging it! If I don't necessarily EAT chocolate, at least my nails can enjoy it!
