weekend wrapup

It has been a very nice weekend.

Friday evening, we met up with some friends at Casa's for some mexican food and margaritas. We were full of laughter and enjoyed our evening.

Saturday morning, Chris and I did about 8.5 miles. He ran and I rode my bike, and it was HOT. It was about 100 all weekend. Way too hot too early. Going to be a long summer.

Saturday afternoon, I met up with some girlfriends to see "Sex and the City 2"...very extravagant and blingy, but a fun flick. Then Chris and I did some shopping for his upcoming trip to Africa, and had a nice dinner out together.

Today, Chris left around 1:30 for a conference in Dallas. Since then, I have grocery shopped and done laundry and a few other odds and ends. It has been a nice quiet afternoon.

The week ahead looks to be pretty good. Tomorrow, I am taking my three graphic designers out to lunch as a "thank you" for all they did while I rested on my Sabbatical. I am really looking forward to it! Chris will be back on Wednesday and I am already ready for that. And this weekend we are attending a wedding for one of Chris' coworkers. Oh! And bunko Wednesday...can't forget bunko!! :)

I am well into the marriage book I am reading, and will try to work up a post on what I'm learning. So much good stuff in there. Soon.
