true story: trip post #4

Tuesday, we slept late (hmm, or I did at least!)...and then spent the day with my mom. It was so nice! We ended up at the mall and I spent a good amount of time at my favorite store, Archivers!! Best scrapbook store out there!! I love to slowly mosey up and down every aisle, but for some reason I only spent a fraction of what I normally would!! I guess I have more than I could ever use, what more could I need? :) I got a bubble tea too...though it was more of a slush/smoothie, and I don't think it had the tapioca beads. I wanted to experience that! I also bought an adorable black leather jacket with a coupon mom had, so it wasn't much at all! :)

Then we headed over to my Grandma McCarthy's house for our visit with the McCarthy clan...we were able to spend a little time with just Grandma, and I showed Chris around her house. I have so many memories growing up and visiting that house, so it was fun to have him see it.

My cousin Shelly arrived next, with her two adorable little boys. Being so far, I don't get to be around them much, so it was fun to see them. Drew has grown into such a sweet, serious boy! I really enjoyed him. And he's such a cutie pie!! Bradley wasn't too fond of me :) But he was too cute, and I was so happy to meet his little one year old self. We enjoyed catching up with Shelly, and missed Kevin! Maybe next year...

Katie, Jason, Karen, Steve and Jaci came next...Jaci was the life of the party! She's a cutie, all these cute McCarthy kiddos :) We ordered pizza, toasted ravioli, and wings and had a great time laughing and telling stories. It's always an entertaining time with the McCarthys!
