:: I'm back!
:: First off -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEET MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH!!!
::Our weekend was good...a little rainy, a little dreary...perfect for a lazy, relaxing weekend, which is A-ok with Kelley!
:: Friday evening, Aspen went to the football game, then spent the night at her friend's house...then went to Dallas with them the next day for her friend's brother's soccer game and she got home Sunday...such is a typical weekend for Aspen, we rarely see her these days...
:: Friday evening, Chris and I enjoyed a low-key dinner at Deutchlanders -- yummy catfish! We decided to head home afterwards and just relax...got home and watched a movie -- Love and Other Drugs. Minus the nudity and sex scenes, the story line was much better than I expected. Young twenty somethings, but the girl had Parkinson's. It was a story about loving someone no matter what, even when they might need you more than you need them. Had some real touching moments. I love watching movies -- this was one of three for the weekend :)
:: Saturday, Chris and I had a perfect day...I love when it's rainy and he can't work outside! I also like when fall and winter start to roll in and he has nothing to work on outside anymore. Then he doesn't mind relaxing inside with me!!! We had a lovely meandering day and I love those. We slept a little late, and then Chris made breakfast for me! Yummy pancakes! Then we worked out -- he ran and I rode my bike, 6 miles. Beautiful cool weather. Then we decided to go to the Buffalo Gap flea market (where we got Poppy)...we bought a few things there (a new donkey for my collection!) and even showed Poppy's breeder pics of our sweet girl. That was fun! Then we stopped and had lunch at a new place called The Outpost and Chris had the Scorcher burger...every kind of pepper you could imagine! He said it was the best burger he's ever had! Once we got home, we watched another movie - In Time with Justin Timberlake. It was an interesting concept, of having only so many hours in life and they had to pay for everything with their time. There were some cheesy parts, but overall enjoyable. And then we watched Black Swan again...that is a crazy movie, but the story made more sense watching it a second time. Loved the whole day...
:: Sunday, I went to the Rangers game!!! Chris stayed home, and that sweet man cleaned our house! And built a rack for all of our wine (at least 125 bottles!!!) and tried out something we've seen on Pinterst -- putting his antique book collection displayed in the fireplace! I'll try to get a pic of it, its so cute!! I met the group at 9:45 and we got on the road for 2.5 hours. We had a fun group and that makes all the difference. We got to the stadium and yes...it started raining as we stood in line to get in :( We went up to the Gold Club and had a delicious lunch...and then a delicious dessert...and then some drinks...and the game was delayed 2 hours. We sat in the Gold Club and talked. Finally the game began at 4:15, and though it did rain throughout the entire game, it was a light drizzle and not too bad. They played pretty quickly, and we were out of the by 6:50. And they won too!! On the road again and home at 9:30. A long day for sure, but I did have a good time!
:: The week has started off busy, and there is a bit going on. Made the grocery list at lunch and did the grocery shopping after work. Picked Aspen up from school at 1:00 because she didn't feel well. Tomorrow we have dance in the evening. And a crop on Saturday!! Can't wait for that but still don't know what I'll be doing yet. I should probably spend some time these next few weekends getting some stuff pulled together...
:: Hope you are all well!!
