:: I hope you all enjoyed your long holiday weekend!!! Ours was good and productive...
:: Friday evening, we went to dinner at Red Robin...and then Aspen and I looked around at Kohl's while Chris mosied around at Home Depot...
:: Saturday morning, Aspen and Mimi left for a weekend in Amarillo. They went up for Mimi's sister's 70th birthday...we had planned to go as well, but Chris was able to rent the man lift for the three day weekend, for the price of just one day. He couldn't pass up that money saver. He also couldn't pass up the chance for an extra day to work on the shop. He and Neeley got started bright and early all three days, and worked non stop in the horrible heat. They have made wonderful progress on the eaves...they are so detailed and time intensive, and I think Chris is a bit put out that they didn't get more accomplished than they did. Some things take longer than you anticipate. They should be able to begin painting here shortly, and hopefully they can get that done. They might need to rent the man lift again, we'll just have to see.
:: I have kept myself busy...Saturday morning, I worked out, did my nails, and then met Kim at Jason's Deli for a relaxing lunch together. I really enjoyed chatting with her and catching up!! Then we went to the movies and saw "Hope Springs", which was pretty good. Funny and sad and touching too.
:: Sunday, I did multiple loads of laundry and got the grocery shopping done. Made lunch for me and the boys, and then I worked on my scrapbook room closet. After a year, it was a disgrace in there! I took everything out and reorganized it. It took all day (yes I have that much stuff!!). But looks so good now! We grilled out and Neeley stayed to enjoy the evening with us. Such fun times!!! Then, once Neeley headed home, Chris and I converted our living room into a dance club and we danced for hours! Oh it was so fun, what a memory! My bare feet and his in slippers, and it couldn't have been better.
:: Monday, I took a huge pile of paperwork and organized it into my filing cabinet. I haven't done that in probably two years, and it was way overdue. That took quite awhile. I did a Lowe's run for the boys, and worked on a logo for Chris' wine.
I wish we had three day weekends all the time! They are so much better than two day weekends!!!! When is the next one???
