weekend and the week ahead

:: Happy weekend! Fairly quiet here, but a good one...hope yours was too!

:: Friday, Aspen worked...Chris and I had dinner at McCallister's -- this was my second time there, his first (here at the Abilene new location)...we weren't too impressed, honestly. We really like it when we are in St. Louis, so maybe this one just isn't in it's groove yet. They were out of the muffalata when we went. Um, how is that possible???? Afterwards, we stopped at the Natural Food Store and then rented After Earth with Will Smith, which was a pretty decent movie.

:: Saturday, I got up and met my friend Kim Kent at Christmas in November to shop around a bit (and to visit my bestie Kim at her booth!!). We enjoyed our time together, and had fun...and Kim's booth was great! I bought quite a few things there, and got started on my Christmas shopping. One booth there sells dog items (clothes, leashes, etc) and the woman always has her Chihuahuas with her. This year I was in for a treat, as she had with her the puppy she got the day before! Eight weeks old and TINY. Probably about 1 pound. She said it would only be about 2 pounds full grown! She was so delicate and fragile. I would be so afraid of stepping on a dog that small! I sure did have fun loving up on her though!! Her name was Lexi. (Photo below!)

:: Afterwards, I came home to find that Chris had been cleaning house!! Yay! When I got home, he went outside and I finished up the cleaning and did the laundry. Then, that evening we had dinner at Skeet's and then grocery shopped. When Aspen got home from work, we watched The Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. It was okay...

:: Sunday, we enjoyed church, and then did some more chores...and Chris and I did 9.3 miles. He ran and I biked, and it was a beautiful day -- though very windy! I was able to see a few donkeys along the way, though none of them close up. Maybe next time.

:: I made french toast for dinner and now we are waiting on 8:00 so we can watch The Walking Dead!!! Love Sunday nights!!!!
Me and that sweet little Lexi!
Me and my powerful biking legs!
Chris' powerful running legs!
:: The week ahead -- I'm getting my hair done (finally, the greys have taken over!!); a vendor is coming in town and taking our department to lunch; we have VIPs in the building and with Jeff out of the office this week, I'll be giving the full presentation for the first time; I believe we're having boy's night here; I'm off work on Friday!!!; and Saturday/Sunday, I'll be in Dallas for a scrapbooking event -- been waiting on this for months, so excited it is finally here!!!!!!!
