catch up

:: Quite a busy day...after a very busy weekend.

:: Friday, Aspen had her youth group girls over for a fun evening, and they did a white elephant exchange. They had a lot of fun!

:: Saturday, Chris and I finished up the Christmas shopping. Left the house at 12:30 and didn't get home until 9:30! It was crazy in town -- soooo many people out. Whew. We got trapped in a parking lot at one point, driving around and around. Just insane. But, we got it all done.

:: Sunday, after an amazing church service, we did a few last errands and then chores. We had a party from 6-8 with our life group, and that was an enjoyable evening.

:: I attempted to make some shortbread cookies for Chris' department and that ended up horribly. I had to throw three batches away. I am not sure where I went wrong. But it was disheartening.

:: Today, I had lunch with Kim and that was so nice!

:: Wrapping presents tonight, after leftovers.

:: Aspen and her friend found a dog this evening...they were driving here, and the car in front of them stopped, threw the dog out the door, and drove off. It's a puppy pit bull and she is very cute. We are trying to find a home for her, otherwise she will hopefully go to the pound tomorrow. Who would throw their dog out like that?? Good grief.

:: Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, which just seems crazy. How is that possible?
