Sunday morning, Chris and Addison left our hotel at 6:00 a.m. and headed to the start line, which was right near our hotel. Addison's wife, Charlee, and I left the hotel at 7:00 a.m. to head to the 5.5 mile marker. It was very easy to navigate the course, and Charlee and I were excited to see our guys!
Chris came through and looked strong! He told me that he was doing a 7 minute mile pace, which was faster than he anticipated. We waited a bit for Addison to come through, and he was looking strong too!

| The Capital building in Austin was the site the runners saw as they came through the finish line |
Once we saw them, we drove to the finish line and found our spot on the
fence. It was a beautiful morning, just a little chilly. This was Chris'
first race in over a year, after taking time off for injuries. So he
wasn't sure what to expect from his race. He had a goal of finishing
around 1 hour 40 minutes. Anything before that was going to be good. At 1:30, he came through! Ten whole minutes ahead of his goal, and times he was running before he was injured. Man, was he pumped!!!!! He was like I've never seen him before!! :) It was so exciting to see him like that! So so proud of him! He says he had a perfect race -- everything went right, there was nothing he would have changed. That is rare!

| SO PUMPED!! |
Addison had a goal of finishing under 2:08...and he came through at 2:03! He was super excited too...and exhausted! He ran the whole thing, and almost blacked out during the last mile...but he did it!
