:: We had a good weekend...seemed fairly full, but it was all good stuff.
:: Friday evening, we went to dinner with a large group of people (probably about 20) to celebrate birthdays. Dawson and Rhea are married, and her birthday is on the 3rd and his is on the 4th. We ate at Outback, and then went to Guitars to dance. It was a fun evening.
:: Saturday, we piddled around for awhile, and then Aspen and Chris went to do 10 miles. She rode with him and they had fun. It was insanely windy though, so it was tough for them both. I cleaned some of the house while they were gone. Then I made the grocery list and cleaned out the fridge. Chris' friends Addison and Scott came over to discuss a business they are going to start together. That evening, we went to eat at Cotton Patch and then got a new vacuum at Target for our hard wood floors. And I bought a new purse too! The leather is so incredibly soft.
:: Sunday, after a great church service, we enjoyed a relaxing day at home. I worked on preplanning a lot of scrapbook pages for our crop this Saturday and the upcoming retreat at the cabin next month. I'll need a lot to work on for sure. I was able to get a lot done. Then Chris and I had our first Sunday meeting -- we are going to try to have one every Sunday to touch base, make sure we are on the same page for the upcoming week, keep an eye on our finances, etc. It was a good meeting with my hubs.
:: Aspen went back to school today, after a long Christmas break. I'm sure it was hard for her to wake up! She is closing at work tonight.
:: Work was good today, and so was zumba. No beginners showed up, so us veterans were able to do our normal class. Yay!
:: So my sense of smell is completely gone. It's been a little hit or miss for a long time now, but today I realized that I am just not smelling much at all. You could have the worst B.O. and I wouldn't have any idea. Lucky you!
:: I received my first Birchbox shipment today! For $10 a month, for a year, I will get a box of surprise goodies. It will be sample sizes of items that you can't find in a lot of places, and stuff you haven't heard of. Then if you like something, you can order full sizes from their website, and each dollar you spend earns you points that can be used like money. It's going to be so fun! This was a Christmas gift from Chris. In my first box, I got a shampoo and conditioner, a bottle of gold nail glitter, a bottle of lip/cheek stain, and a big chocolate toffee bar. Yay! I've put my preferences in now, and skin type, hair type, etc, so the remaining boxes will be customized just for me!!
:: I am also really enjoying my Arbonne goodies!! I've been washing my face every night, and putting on my night repair cream. I can honestly tell a difference. Chris told me I was "all aglow"! I can't wait to do my mud mask!
:: Before I sign off, please keep my mom's husband Randy in your prayers if you would. He travels for his job, and in Illinois today his work van was hit by a semi truck. He is ok, not injuries really. But possible whiplash and he will be sore for awhile. It's been a bit of an ordeal, so all prayers appreciated.
Well, I suppose that is long enough...maybe I have made up for not posting yesterday :) Oops, that was unintentional :)
