feeling a bit better

:: Well Tuesday, I think you went alright.

:: Feeling better today. Still have all the snot and stuffiness, but the sick feeling is gone. Thankfully. Hopefully the rest of the crud will clear out soon.

:: Had a good workout after work -- I really like working out at that time because it works off the stress of the day. I need that. 20 minutes cardio and then arms/abs/legs. Feeling good -- and fitting into clothes that I haven't worn in quite awhile. If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is!

:: I tried something new yesterday for dinner and really liked it! Well, it wasn't new. My step dad Pat used to cook it when I was growing up, and I didn't like it. Spaghetti squash. But, on the Whole 30, I decided to try it. And I loved it! Tastes do change, I am here to tell you :) Cooked it in the microwave and it was just the perfect amount of done/crisp. I used it as I would normally use noodles, and put pasta toppings on top -- diced tomato/balsamic sauce with shrimp! Quite delicious. I'll be making that a lot and trying it with different things.

:: Whole 30 still going great. I'm on Day 17. Here's my food for the day, if interested. If not, move on to the next bullet! B: 2 egg muffins, 1/2 pear, 16 oz water, cup of hot tea; L: spaghetti squash with steamed broccoli and chicken, 1/2 cauliflower biscuit, 3 slices pear, 16 oz water; After workout: 16 oz water; D: Lettuce topped with hamburger, yellow bell pepper, onion, pickles, black olives, tomatoes, unsweetened banana chips, 1/2 small avocado, 16 oz water; for my after dinner treat, I had a frozen banana/almond butter cup. I also have trouble skipping my 10:00 and 3:00 snack, and have been eating just a small bit of homemade trail mix to tide me over. I can have a pre-workout snack, but the other one is just a little extra. It feels weird to my body to have to eat so many calories at the three meals, makes me feel too full. I prefer having the snacks and eating less calories at the meals. That isn't entirely Whole 30, but it's really the only area I have varied from the trail at all. I can live with that.

:: Here is a new song that I heard today, and I am already loving it!

:: Tomorrow is my boss Jeff's birthday and we are taking him to lunch as a department! That will be fun. We are going to Szechuan because they have a big room that we can reserve. There are 11 of us! I will have to be creative on what I eat,

:: I've got some book study reading to do, so this is where I will end for tonight. Adios!
