sad to see the weekend go

:: Where did the weekend go???

:: Friday evening, Chris and I worked out after work...then we grabbed a quick dinner at Mr. Burger and headed home. Chris went to work on his side project with the guys, and I got my stuff packed for the crop and worked on our 4 week Whole 30 menu. I also made the grocery list.

:: Saturday morning, Chris and I went to the church and spent almost 4 hours in the process of becoming members of the church. We were able to sign the covenant at the end, and they took our photos for the membership directory! We are very excited to become members - this is definitely where we feel led to call our home. Afterwards, we had a quick lunch and then Chris went to run 10 miles and I drove to Pam's for our crop. She lives in Clyde, so it was about a 30 minute drive each way. It was nice to be with my music in the car, driving. The crop was fun, I am glad I was able to hang out with the girls for a bit. I didn't really get much done, but I am glad I was able to go for a bit. At 6:00, I left and went to do the grocery shopping. That took quite awhile, as I am now on the hunt for healthy foods and reading labels. Chris had to work with the guys again, so after getting food I went home and relaxed with my HGTV magazine on the couch! When Chris got home around 11:00, we went to iHop so that he could have his "last hurrah" before our challenge started the next day. Aspen got off work and met us there, and though we were all sleepy, we had a good time.

:: Sunday, our church service was great! Pastor David started his new series "Famous Last Words" -- he will be going deep on the last things Jesus said while he was dying on the cross -- his last words to us hold a lot of power. I am looking forward to the whole series. Afterwards, laundry, lunch, and cleaned the living room. Helped Aspen get started on some things for her Ireland trip. She had a 3:30 team building meeting at the church for the trip. Made dinner, did my book study with Aspen, and watched The Walking Dead. And now we are nearing bedtime.

:: We started our challenge today...I made some very yummy egg muffins for breakfast and we have leftovers for tomorrow morning. Lunch was a taco salad (no shell) and dinner was meatballs and roasted veggies. I am honestly stuffed and thought everything was delicious. I'm happy with the two new recipes I tried. I think Chris is starving. :( This is a big change for him, and I know that it won't be easy. And worse yet, he is a big coffee drinker, but not black -- and that is the only way he can have it right now. He might have some caffeine withdrawl unfortunately. I have been eating this way, in a lot of ways, for many weeks now. So I really don't think it will be a huge deal for me. I keep reminding Chris that this was fully his decision!!! I had nothing to do with it! :) I am praying that it gets easier for him every day. You could pray too??
