A little history, to set up my story...as some of you may know, one of my goals is to be published in a scrapbooking magazine. After finding out that I didn't win Creating Keepsakes "Hall of Fame" contest this year, I got a little bummed out and haven't really submitted much since. It's still a goal, but I've been focusing on scrapbooking for ME, scrapbooking because I want to and enjoy it.

I have a subscription to Creating Keepsakes magazine, and have thought lately that it would be more beneficial for me to have a subscription to Simple Scrapbooks magazine...much more my style. It dawned on me that I really should be submitting stuff to Simple Scrapbooks instead. Somewhere along the line, I mentioned all of this in passing.

Today, when I got home from walking with Kim, I talked with Chris and Mimi for a bit. Then I wandered into the office to pick up the mail, and noticed something standing up between the keys on my keyboard. The postcard above, with a note attached.

A full-year subscription to Simple Scrapbooks!!!!! From my sweet, sweet man. The words he wrote on the postcard and on his note really touched my heart, and I want to share them with you here...

The postcard says, "A gift of Simple Scrapbooks is coming your way from someone who believes in you." The "to" line reads: My "One-Day" Famous Scrapper. Those words brought such a smile to my face. My heart just overflowed. But wait, it gets better!

I opened the note to find these amazing words: "I have so much faith in you! You are extremely talented and I know that your dream of someday getting published will come true. Don't quit! Never give up!"

I am such a lucky girl. To hear these things coming from him means so so much to me. I am going to hang this note somewhere where I will see it all the time, as a reminder...

Never quit! Someone still believes in you, even when you find it hard to believe in yourself...
