we have take off

Success! It took quite awhile this evening in our Take Two: Shopping for Aspen's New Bedroom Stuff...but we found stuff that would work.

We went to Bed Bath & Beyond, and nothing struck our fancy. So then we really started contemplating...what the heck were we going to do? So back to Target we went, and we found some really adorable sheets. Her white down comforter will still work with her new bed, so we went with that gameplan.

New room: dark blue and lime green. Very "modern"...the sheets are blue with dots of different colors all over them. We found a bunch of really cute pillows to match. A cute little memo board with bamboo background and tropical flower pins. A bamboo door curtain. A strand of flowers with lights on them. And a huge dish chair in the same pattern as the sheets. Just adorable stuff. Need to get some lime green accent stuff now that we saw at Bed Bath & Beyond, and she'll be all set. I'll take a picture once we've got it all set up. Whew. Glad that's done. Will finish up tomorrow evening, and while Chris is riding in his bike race on Saturday morning, I'm going to work on setting it up.

Moving on...it's getting late and I need to get ready for my day tomorrow...I do want to mention this though...

I discovered a very cool blog yesterday, and really enjoyed reading through it. This girl is great. She's blunt. She's honest. She's a breath of fresh air! And she's pretty damn funny. She's a scrapper too, and has a great, fresh style. I love discovering cool people like this!! She's so cool, she even posted a comment on my blog today. Can't beat that!
