So You Think You Can Dance
Does anyone watch this show?? We just happened to stumble across it last week for the first time, and it's really pretty interesting. Now that they've all made it to the show on their own dance abilities, they get paired up with another dancer each week and have to learn a new style of dance together. These people are really amazing!
Some of them aren't as good as others, of course. My favorite in the whole competition is Melody, the girl pictured above. She is so dainty and tiny and she is a great dancer. The whole package. Unfortunately, she was in the bottom group tonight, and therefore could get cut next week. I hope not.
The one who really surprised me was Nick, also pictured above. He was also in the bottom group of 6 tonight. That means during the show he danced with a partner, and then once they are nominated for the bottom group, each dancer has a few seconds to dance any style they want. Nick went last. I almost didn't even watch him, because I was not at all impressed with him in his couple's dance. My god, he was awesome in his solo. That boy can turn and turn and turn, and his split leap across the stage was magnificant. I could've watched him turn all night. Superb.
I am glad that we discovered this show last week...there are a few weeks left, at least. The old dancer in me just gets all giddy watching them, feels that old desire to get up and perform. Man, that was a long time ago. Wonder where I'd be now, if I had kept after it...
Does anyone else watch this show??? Let me know your thoughts, if you do. Your favorites?

I haven't watched this show! Believe it or not. Queen of Reality TV here doesn't watch it. I will have to check it out next week though it sounds!
I haven't watched it, but some people here at work do and they really like it. Of course, you know me, I'm doing good to watch a couple of shows a week!
I watched it for the first time last night - I really enjoyed it.
One thing that gob-smacked me was how the guys seemed to be able to almost dislocate their arms by the looks of them swirling arougn adn behind them!!!
Alice the Brit,
who is reading all her bookmarked blogs now as we are all prepared for Hurricane Katrina and the rain she is going to dump on us - even put up our NEW Hurricane Panels - took us only 1.5 hrs to do the WHOLE house compared to the *7* hours it took last year to board them up with plywood for Frances and Jeanne last year
