i heart chris

Sometimes, Chris just blows me away with his sweetness...

Every morning, I get up and start getting ready. About 30 minutes later, I begin my attempts at getting him out of the bed. It usually takes me about 6 trys -- constant talking to him, opening the drapes, you name it! This is the norm.

Imagine my surprise this morning, when I walk out of the bathroom to find a room with light flooding in from the window...a little shocked, I turn toward the bed, and it's empty!! My first thought was that an alien had taken over his body...

I found him in the kitchen...preparing cinnamon toast and chocolate milk for me and Aspen. Not only was he out of the bed on his own account, but he was doing something so pure and sweet. He just melts my heart...

I've got myself a good man...it's the little things, like this, that just mean the world to me...

{ p.s. This photo was taken on our road trip to Amarillo earlier this year...we found this heart carved into a tree at a little lake we visited...I've been saving it, for something just like this...}

What a sweetie, but I already knew he was. :) I bet that was the best toast you have had in a long time, wasn't it? LOVE the picture as well.

Cute pic! And it is all the little things they do that make us fall in love with them all over again, isn't it?

That is priceless Kelley. Way to go Chris! Your are so right, it’s the little things that can mean so much. Holding hands, the little note left on the mirror, a gentle touch in the cold dark rain. It is so awesome to know you both treasure each other. By small and simple means great things can come to pass. Go surprise Chris, the opportunities abound.

Oh that is so so sweet. Don't you love it when they just do something out of the ordinary to surprise you? It makes you feel so appreciated. Last night I got a lovely home cooked candle lit dinner. I was vry impressed. We are lucky to be loved!
