this and that

1. A new low for "spam"...has anyone noticed this crap??? Showing up in the comments of our blogs? It annoys the heck out of me! It's bad enough that we have that unwanted spam in our email. Now they've found a way to randomly hit blogs and PROMOTE their businesses! What crap! I refuse to leave it in my comments. Although it takes time, I will go in and delete it. I refuse to advertise for them! Okay, off my soapbox now :)

2. Aspen has a teacher! We were a little worried when she started the school year without a teacher, but it didn't take long for them to get one thankfully. Aspen seems to like her, and we hope that she'll be strict!

3. Thanks for all the interest in the Book Swap! I am working on all the details, and will be emailing everyone involved soon!! I'm excited, this is going to be great!!!

4. This Saturday is the monthly crop, and I am looking forward to it. I am not planning to scrapbook though. Crazy, I know! The thought of lugging all my supplies elsewhere just doesn't appeal to me this month for some reason. I am planning to take 4 scrapbook magazines that I haven't been able to look through yet, and will be jotting down ideas from them. And if I get through all that, I'm going to go through all my OLD mags, cut out the stuff I like, and then get rid of this ever growing pile! Thanks for the inspiration on that, Jackie!

5. We're getting back into the swing of the "school schedule" thing...hard to get everything accomplished before an 8:30 bedtime, but we sure are trying!

6. Must must must call and schedule to have the dishwasher repaired...HATE doing the dishes, yuck yuck yuck!

7. Tahiti photos are still coming in from coworkers...hard to believe that there are shots that we missed :) I will post a few of the additional pictures soon...there's a few really great ones!

8. Have some fun Hawaii triathalon scrapbook pages to do for our friend, Vince. He has a ton of stuff, so it may just end up being an entire album! I'm looking forward to doing a little work for someone.

That's all for tonight...I'm going to get some work done on my Book Swap stuff!! Woo hoo!

I saw that spam on your blog and just had to shake my head at it as well. :( That chaps my hide!

SO glad that Aspen has a real teacher already! I hope she likes them.

Looking forward to the crop this weekend also and carpooling.. Even though you have decided that Granny K_Half shouldn't drive you there! :)~ pphhbbtt

Looking forward to the book details!

I think spamming is a very bad advertising strategy. These guys have got it all wrong. Someone who had to sell something by irritating people does not have a good product to begin with.

got 5 of those spams yesterday morning, so i changed my settings to not allow anonymous comments. it is so lame...

p.s. enjoying your blog, and lovin' the photos!

the spammers haven't gotten me yet, but I know they will.

And I can perfectly understand why you don't want to haul all your scrapbooking stuff to the crop! Poor girl, you aren't recovered from the trip yet! And I'm loving this whole cutting out the ideas I really love thing. I think it's going to work wonders for me (and my pages!). Two things I've learned: 1)I go through my magazines really quickly, so that only the really great things grab my attention. But I've already read through them leisurely at least once. 2) I keep a marker handy and if there is one particular embellishment I like on a page, I mark it, so I won't wonder later WHY I kept that particular LO in my idea book. think I'll divide my book into catagories as well, like sketches/entire LOs, embellishments, techniques, etc. Let me know if you come up with any good ideas!

how annoying is spam on blogs! it drives me nuts. even when im surfing blogs with 'next blog' i can only go so far without it bringing up spam and u can go no further.

I don't understand why aspen didn't have a teacher before?? haha once again im confused. How does this work??

Wish I could be a part of the book swap :(:(:( Maybe I should start one with my mates. Good luck with it, great idea.

I have also been getting "spam comments" on my blog.....it is so annoying! Especially because of the anticipation of seeing "who" commented on my blog...only to find it be about "cholesterol" or "taxes" or "divorce"--yes, i even had someone comment about a "divorce site!" Very annoying!!
