While getting my allergy shot on Wednesday, I was flipping through a magazine (I forget which one) and came across something that I really liked.

The concept of being a "human sparkler".

The magazine challenged us to put a little more oomph into our life...step everything up just a notch...smile more...be more energetic...compliment people...make people laugh...be the kind of person that others are drawn to...be positive...uplift others...be dazzling...be chipper and cheery...

This little article got me thinking. We all live pretty straightforward lives...we let little things get us down...we begin to feel like the world is a bad place. And then out of nowhere, some little something will sparkle...some stranger will do something kind for us, or some cheery person will whisk through our day leaving a smile on everyone she leaves behind...

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be that kind of person? To envoke cheer? To make people laugh a little? To make people feel good about themselves?

There are days when I feel like this...when I feel lighthearted, and I feel like I'm a little ray of sunshine. I want to feel like that more often. I want to strive to be this "human sparkler"...because not only will it improve the moods around me, it will better my environments and keep ME smiling and cheery.

We can all use a little more of that...so I challenge you...when is the last time YOU sparkled? Were cheery and dazzling and just plain happy??? Like the article said, try it for a week. Just sparkle your little heart out. And if you don't feel happier at the end of the week, you are welcome to go back to the old you!
