jay leno

As a strict rule, I try to never post anything about my job here. You just never know. But I have to make an exception for this:

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Jay Leno show, right? Every Monday, they do a segment with funny headlines from newspapers. I didn't see it on the 17th (I'm long asleep by the time it comes on!!), but on Tuesday my coworker came in saying that a mailer I had designed had been on the headline segment.

WHAT!?!?!?!

Granted, this is the newspaper ad that corresponds with the seminar mailer that I designed, but it looks exactly the same as the mailer I did.

So...I guess you know you've hit the "big time" when your work appears on Jay Leno?? ha ha! I do probably about 30 of these mailers a year, and they all pretty much look the same. The information changes, maybe the picture behind the headline. So no, it isn't the most creative work. But not everyone can say their work has been on Jay Leno! :)

And no, I didn't come up with that headline either...it was supplied copy from our client. We never really looked at it in a funny light until now! No publicity is bad publicity though, right?

Just had to share my "15 minutes of fame"!
