st. louis in photos

In honor of our upcoming trip to St. Louis, I thought I would post a few of my favorite pictures from our last trip there...we did a lot of tourist attractions, since it was Chris' first time there, and if you can believe it, we took 8 rolls of film and hundreds of digital pictures while there. A place that I lived for 23 years! :) Seeing it through new eyes, and trying to capture it on film, was lots of fun for me!

At the City Museum, I loved this pic of Chris with the gargoyle, in that glorious natural light. The City Museum is a crazy fun place, full of creative genius...makes your mind whirl with possibility!

Chris, who doesn't really like heights, actually went up in the arch with us...it's always fun to ride the little egg-shaped pods up to the very top, and look out over the beautiful city through tiny little windows!

This was one of my very favorites, Aspen took it of us in front of the City Museum...

We also went to the Butterfly House, and Chris captured this gorgeous photo of a butterfly showered in natural sunlight. I tell you, he's got a great eye!!

One of Chris' favorite tourist attractions was the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour...free beer, you know! This picture was captured outside during the tour, I love it because it is three generations of girls...all bundled up against the cold in their scarves!

I love that we got this shot from the arch window...because it was Busch Stadium's last season before they started to tear it down for the new one...many a baseball game was seen there during my childhood with the Repps. I have many fond memories...

This shot was also taken from the arch windows...the red brick building is where I had my internships and my first job out of college. Fleishman-Hillard, 16th floor in the Design department. Wow, did I learn a lot there...

And Chris captured this shot of the road signs while I was driving...love this one!

I'm looking forward to seeing what great photos we get on our trip this time...St. Louis has so much to offer. Lots to see. Not to mention my great family!!! :)

Tick tock, tick tock...almost time to leave!!!

And you will not beleve the stadium now as the wrecking ball has hit it. I have not been down since the last playoff game but need to get down soon to capture some of the demolition ~ not sure I want to see it that way! And just as important, you will not believe the new stadium ~ much progress since you and Chris were last here. Tick...tick...tick...is right ~ can say see you soon and it will be!

Those are great photos!! Lots of wonderful memories created. I am sure you will be creating just as many, if not more this trip! Can't wait to see the photos from this year as well.

Be safe and have fun!

I remember some of those from last year. Hard to believe its been that long! I know you are going to have the best time ever.

As for road trip food...hmmm.....it's been so long since we've had one! I just try to have stuff that's not too messy. Of course, any trip with Ash involves Cheerios and graham crackers!

I love the Busch Stadium pic. Can you email it to me? With it being the last year, there are tons of different photos of Busch, but none like that (that I've seen or liked).

Can't wait to see you!!
