intentions for 2006

I've been giving a lot of thought to resolutions this year. I've decided not to do any.

Instead, I'm going to have a short list of intentions...things that I intend to accomplish in the coming year. And even better, with each intention, I am going to list the things I plan to do to ACCOMPLISH each intention. Here goes:

Intention #1 :: To take care of my fingernails
{ my nails are a disgrace...I am embarrassed by how they look...it's time to give them some consistent TLC }
:: Every night before bed, I will rub Vitamin E oil into my cuticles
:: I will always have polish on my nails, even if it is clear
:: Once the polish is chipped, I will repolish right away
:: Once a week, I will file my nails

Intention #2 :: I will arrive at work every morning at 8:00 a.m.
{ I used to be such a punctual person...it bothers me that I am no longer on time for work, even if it is only 15 minutes...unfortunately, this will mean leaving without Chris if it comes to that }

:: I will begin getting ready at 6:40 a.m., allowing myself ten extra minutes
:: I will leave the house promptly at 7:55 a.m.

Intention #3 :: I will discover my calm center & nurture it
{ I feel chaotic inside...I yearn for calm within }
:: Each weekday morning, I will wake up at 6:00 a.m. to do pilates
:: This time by myself in the morning will help quiet my inner chaos
:: I will learn to meditate and take 15 minutes each evening to do so

These things seem pretty doable to me. Attainable. And I've kept my list short so that I can really concentrate on these specific things.

What do you intend for 2006? Happy New Year!

I think your intentions are great. I was thinking this morning about how I need to take better care of my hands/nails.
Happy New Year!

That is a good list. You must live very close to your work :)

Love the fact that you are 5 minutes from work.

You already know mine and that is just plain re-focus on me. Say no sometimes and just not fill up the calendar all the time - some unplanned days, weekends or weeks will be a help in that direction.

Hope the garage door accident is o.k. for you and your head...

HAPPY NEW YEAR MY PTS!

Good Luck Kelley! I'm not making any resolutions or intentions because I'm sure when summer gets here and Austin is full force the I won't follow thru with any of them!

I think your intentions are very doable! I like "intentions" better then resolutions!! I need to work on my list.. not sure if I have one? Always afraid I will fail at them anyway.
