sukoku
Ever played?
It's quite addictive. I used to be the crossword puzzle queen...I like that little brain challenge, good to keep the mind active! And then I met Sudoku...
Chris received a book of Sudoku puzzles in his stocking this year for Christmas, and neither one of us could figure out how to do them! Then he talked with a co-worker who explained it to him, and now it makes perfect sense. Though, the first few puzzles took forever to do, and you should see how marked up and scratched out they are. A royal mess.
But then last night...I did an entire puzzle with no little notations, no scratch outs, it all just fell into place. I was so dang excited!! I'm "seeing" it better now, and have fully grasped the concept. Of course, this is a "gentle" level book, so we'll see what the next level does for us! :)
For now, I'm enjoying this...and I think Chris is too! You should give it a whirl...

That looks very interesting! I love puzzles like this, they often times drive me insane trying to figure them out, but I enjoy it. Glad you were able to do one last night without all the scratching and marking out!
Oh! I meant to say yesterday that I love your new banner!! You did a great job on it. :) SO fresh and fun!
We have a book of these puzzles also and I tired, but couldn't figure it out. Gave up very quickly too.

Oh no, you too!!!!!
We started having that in the paper every day and when Birney was explaining it to us in the staff meeting, I said that it sounded like my personal idea of hell. ; ) Several people assured me that it was a big hit and lots of fun. Whatever. I don't like crossword puzzles or word searches either. Not enough patience, I suppose!
But I'm glad that you like it! Enjoy!!
I just don't get it but don't give it the time to think about it either. I had a friend pick up 3 levels of the books to give as Christmas presents and she is so hooked, she ended up keeping them all for herself. Have fun!
