why is it...

...that sometimes the best intentions get you into the worst situations?

I've had my dumb-ass episode for the year, hopefully. I can really only handle one per year.

While cleaning the house on Sunday, I moved around all of the beautiful new white kitchen cabinet doors. They've been propped up all over our bedroom for a good month now, while Chris has been painting the cabinet frames. A good month. My common sense tells me that surely they'd be dry by then. So I stacked them all together, leaning against the bedroom wall. Was feeling so refreshed and accomplished, having our bedroom back to a semi-normal cleanliness.

Then, Monday during our lunchhour, Chris sees the doors stacked like that and goes to move them back to where they were. And, yes, realizes that the doors are stuck together. This, of course, leads to intense frustration on his part. Understandably. And I am at a loss. The damage has been done. What can I do now besides offer up my sincere apologies? It was 100% an innocent accident. But now I've caused him hours of more work, touching up the paint because he'll have to respray a lot of them.

In a process that is already taking so long, and is already frustrating him beyond words, I have innocently gone and made things worse!

I'd like to just crawl under a rock. Stuff like this just really discourages me. Feeling very down and out...

{{Hugs}} Kelley. Believe it or not I did this exact thing a few years back in our rent house. Very same scenario. I felt horrible! But as you said it was innocent accident. I know it is adding more hours of work on Chris though and that is a bummer as well. I hope the doors can be repaired without a lot of work and all will be well. Don't let it bring you down for to long, it was indeed an accident and we all have those!

OH NO!!!! I feel badly for you, but just take comfort in the fact that maybe you'll laugh about it years down the road. Maybe. And you know, nobody ended up in the hospital, so it's not THAT bad. I'll send good voodoo your way!

{I just realized how odd the voodoo thing must sound to other people, LOL}

Oh dear! Never mind I'm sure he's aware that it wasn't intentional. I'm sure he knows you were just trying to help. I can understand your frustration however. Hope your feeling better now!

I went and had a look at you 'two peas' layouts yesterday. There's so many! Let me tell you this- you are so talented. They are fantastic. How do you come up with SO many different ideas? They are absolutely awesome. I was really excited to look at them. Those wedding invites were just beautful that you made. Got a quick question. Do you burn the edges of your papers? If not how do you make them look aged that way?

Have a great day!
