Our weekend started at 3:00 pm on Friday...we got out of work early and headed to Waco, TX for a soccer tournament. That evening, Chris and I got there in time to register the team, and then we checked in to our hotel after getting a little lost and going through the "interesting" part of town...

Saturday, the girls played three games: 11:00, 2:00, and 6:30. The 11:00 was horrible. We played a team called the Trolls, and they whooped up on our girls like crazy. 5-0 was the score and it was just ugly. And not the best way to begin the day. Our girls are not used to losing (they had an undefeated season and were not scored on once). We were wanting some good competition for them, but I think this was a bit of a shock for their systems!!!

The second and third games were both good, we won 2-0 and 6-0. We ended the day on a high note and in good spirits, but it wasn't enough to push us through to the second round on Sunday.

All 45 of us headed to a mexican restaurant and overwhelmed our waitress :) We had some strong margaritas and called it a night.

And, of course, I looked in my trusty CK magazine and found the local scrapbook store...bought a few goodies there! I always find one, wherever we go.

Sunday, since we didn't have any games, Chris and I stopped at an outlet mall on the way home. Bought a few odds and ends, nothing too extraordinary. But it was a good day.
