another day

...another dollar...

:: Work was fine. It went immensely fast, I couldn't believe it when lunch rolled around. And then I glanced down at my watch, thinking it was 4:00, and it was really 5:00. Accomplished a lot, and it sped by.

:: Found out that my department at work has the company's baseball tickets for June 20th. So that will be fun. We'll go see the Texas Rangers play the Chicago Cubs, we'll get flown out to Dallas in the company jet, and the food and drinks will be paid for. A nice little perk! It's unfortunate that it's the day after we close on both houses...but, the unpacking will be a long process and one night won't hurt. It will be a fun evening with my co-workers, which will be a nice change since we're too dang busy at work to have much fun!

:: They installed some faucets at the new house...only problem with that, we haven't picked out our faucets yet. ???? Not sure what that is all about, I'll be calling tomorrow.

:: How is May already over??

:: It's June, and I have until the end of this month to mail out our wedding invitations. Oi! I need to finish calling the hotels and figure out who to block some rooms with, and finish up the last little details on everything. And have them printed and then assemble them. I'd better get on the stick. I refuse to be one of those last minute people that I get tired of!!

:: Over the weekend, in the midst of my packing, I pulled out two big boxes of my scrapbooks that have been packed away while we've been trying to sell our house. I thouroughly enjoyed looking through them. I was just going to put some new pages randomly in the back of one, for safe keeping. But instead, I sat there and looked through them all. And just felt such happiness. I love my scrapbooks, I love my style, I love our photos. That is why I scrapbook...for that happiness it brings me. Just pure happiness. (It also doesn't hurt to do it, since I have such a horrible memory!)

:: Well...I suppose I've rattled on long enough...almost Friday baby!
