a day's worth

:: I'm bummed, I totally forgot that the finale of Survivor Fiji was on Sunday! We missed it. And I was actually getting into this season, toward the end. I sort of lost my luster for the show after so many seasons, but this one had grabbed my attention back. Dang it.

:: More Idol tonight...what are we down to now, three? The website says that each will be singing three songs tonight, and then on the results show tomorrow, Elliott Yamin will perform. I really like his new song, so I'm excited to hear him sing it live. As for three songs tonight from the contestants, I guess we'll see. None of them are exciting me anymore, and I can't say I care much who wins. I suppose Blake is still my favorite, but his new dark hair has got to go.

:: Still waiting to hear about Kim and the job position...c'mon c'mon!!!

:: Looking soooo forward to the crop this weekend!!! I have so many new goodies to use. All of those bunko prizes I bring home every month, and then all the goodies I've collected at the scrapbook stores during our travels. Lots of new stuff. And lots of good pictures to use too. Not sure what I'll work on, I'm just going to let it flow!!

:: Ocho is becoming more and more affectionate. It has taken him awhile to enjoy petting, but boy, let me tell you, he's all about it now! He practically throws himself on his back now to get belly rubs. Not sure why it took him so long, I've never known a dog to have to 'learn' to be petted.

:: The inspection on our current house is set for Monday at 11:00. Keep your fingers crossed!!

:: We now have tile in our breakfast nook at the new house. Not grouted yet, but it looks really really good. Love the color, and he did it on a brick pattern, so it's offset. Everything is coming together...

:: Finished "Nights in Roadanthe"...hmmm...must say, it wasn't my favorite Sparks book by far. (sorry Sandy!!) I thought it was pretty predictable. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood.

:: So, I decided to branch out with something different with the book I'm reading now. A few years ago, I read "Wicked" and "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister", both by Gregory Maguire. Have you read anything by him? His books are interesting in that they take a well-known fairy tale, and he creates whole new stories from them. A little more depth to them, a little more time to read them, as there are made up words and such. Well, I enjoyed "Wicked" a lot, so I thought it was time I read another one of his books. This time I picked "Son of a Witch", and it's going okay so far...

:: Making beef stroganoff for dinner, and need to put the final touches on it...bye for now!
