Odd week so far...
Over the weekend, Chris and I went to Coldstone Creamery for some ice cream. In line, in front of us, was a man with his two children. Out of the blue, he said to Chris, "Do I know you from somewhere?" And we all proceeded to talk. He was very personable and we sat and ate our ice cream with him. He was interested in the fact that we have our own small business and that Chris does web design and I'm a graphic designer. Said he'd like to talk to us, and we exchanged phone numbers.
He called Chris on Monday and asked if we'd meet him at Starbucks to talk. We met him there on Monday evening, and I was expecting him to have some kind of work for us...but it lead into a sales pitch for a duplication system that he's involved in.
Hmm. I was immediately turned off.
He invited us to a seminar being held this evening, and we decided, out of curiosity, to attend.
Hmmmm.
The whole thing is just odd to me, and I do not like when people try to "sell" me. The concept of their system is interesting, and I suppose could work for some people. But it mainly entails signing people up beneath you and bringing in a percentage of what they do too. And neither Chris nor I are that kind of person.
At any rate, that was our evening...
House-wise, they installed carpet in all the bedrooms, finished up the backsplash and all the tile, and the mirror guy arrived when I left to install the mirrors. Onward we go...
