window & layouts

They finally installed our actual front door yesterday. Isn't the glass and wrought iron gorgeous? I love it. They still have to paint the door black, so I'll take a better picture once that's done. I just really wanted to share the glass!!

#1 Look at that cutie! He's going to be my husband in 18 days!!! Really love this picture of him, and am very pleased with this simple layout too...

#2 Another simple one, of me and Aspen...

#3 This is my sweet friend Angie (the one who threw the shower for me over the weekend)...she's a dear friend, love her! This is a pic taken of us at work...

#4 This is the group pic from our work party two years ago...it's funny to look at it and see how different our department is today...

#5 Had to give some props to my guy and his big achievement at the end of the year last year. He makes me so proud!!!

#6 Me and my mom, celebrating my big 3-0 at pF Changs. Really love this layout...especially that background paper!

#7 One of Aspen's first day of fifth grade. I'm really loving this old fashioned paper that's out right now.

#8 And finally, this is one of Aspen with Kelsey (Kim's sweet daughter)...they have a lot of fun together, and I wish them both the happiest of futures...

So, there's what I worked on over the weekend at the retreat. I'm pretty pleased with all of them, and they are done!!!

My new party secret?? I'm going to find layouts that I have already done and loved, and I'm going to scraplift myself. If I love them, why not use them again and again?? I actually tried this technique out at the retreat, and was able to really whip some pages out quickly! If you'll scroll back up above, you'll see that layouts #1, #4, and #8 are actually all the same basic layout (with #4 just being flipped). The time span for these layouts is spread out, so they won't be close in my chronological albums. So why not????? :)

I love the picture of the glass in your front door! Very pretty. I bet when it's painted it will be perfect!
